Once upon a time, there was a man named Tom who loved nothing more than spending his days in the woods. He would often go on long hikes, exploring the different trails and taking in the natural beauty around him. One day, while on a particularly long hike, Tom got lost. He had been wandering for hours and couldn’t find his way back to the trailhead.
Just as he was starting to lose hope, he came across a clearing and in the middle of it stood a wise old tree. The tree had been there for centuries and had seen all the changes the forest had gone through. Tom approached the tree and asked for help finding his way back home.
The tree listened to Tom’s story and thought for a moment before speaking. «I can’t give you directions, but I can give you a piece of advice. Follow your heart, it will always lead you in the right direction.»
Tom was confused but decided to trust the tree’s words. He closed his eyes and listened to the sound of his own heart beat. As he walked, he noticed that the sound was getting louder and louder. He followed the sound of his heart and soon found himself back on the trail. He thanked the tree and promised to always follow his heart from then on.
From that day on, Tom never got lost in the woods again. He learned that sometimes the answers we seek can be found within ourselves, if we just take the time to listen.
